Spoiled Turkey Sausage Woes - Kroger, Dallas Texas

Not sure of the location, but have the receipt. Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. Yes, fairly sure it was the Simple Truth Turkey Sausage. It was the only new thing I’d eaten. I can provide the Instacart receipt if it helps, or a copy thereof. It happened I had a delivery from Instacart on Friday night, June 19, 2022, around 20:30. It was a very warm night, although the woman who delivered did use a cooler bag. I ordered several items from the store, but not sure which one she went to, as the receipt doesn’t show the location. I ordered Jenni-O Turkey Sausage, but approved a replacement for Simple Truth Turkey Sausage 14oz, which is store’s brand, as they were out of my request. The roll was at room temperature when I received it so I immediately put it in the fridge. In the morning, I cut two sections off to eat for breakfast. They seemed fine, but Sunday afternoon around 16:00, started feeling sick with nausea, severe gas, and cramping. The remainder of the roll I left refrigerated and earlier went to check on it as to cook it. The sausage was completely brown and smelled rancid. This isn’t my first issue with the store, Instacart, and their meat. Much of the meat that I have received now from sausage to steak in various forms has been spoiled on the inside and or the underneath side where no shopper can see it. This is finally the end of what I can tolerate as it was a “sick event” all night, way into the morning. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Fever, Cramps, Gas
