Closure Date: 10-08-2020Cockroach infestation. The inspector counted 57 live roaches in food preparation and food storage areas, plus dead roaches elsewhere. The operator said pest control had been there the day before; the restaurant stayed open despite the infestation. There were two other critical violations: One handwashing sink had no hot water and another had no cold water. Also, some produce was covered in mold. Among the lesser violations, the employee restroom didn’t have soap, raw steaks were thawing unsafely and the meat slicer and some utensils were covered in food debris. Additionally, a customer was dining inside and multiple employees were not wearing face masks properly or at all, in violation of COVID-19 rules. An inspector went back Oct. 13 and found many live and dead roaches, so the closure remained in place.
