Food Safety Report - Poke Hana, Windermere Florida

DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE. IT GAVE ME GASTROENTERITIS AND NEARLY KILLED ME.
On Sunday, May 15th, 2022, I went here to have lunch. I bought a custom poke bowl that consisted of raw tuna, raw salmon, rice, seaweed, pineapples, and spicey sauce. My symptoms started developing around 48 hours after I ate the food. Tuesday, May 17th, I had a lot of chills, body aches, and fever. I went to sleep that night and felt completely miserable. I thought by sleeping it off, the symptoms would go away… but they didn’t. I woke up on Wednesday feeling worse than the day before so I ended up going to the Emergency Room at the VA hospital in Lake Nona. They decided to hold me there for two days due to a gastroenteritis coming from an Amoeba and a rotavirus caught from the food . They administered around 6 bags of saline fluids and multiple antibiotics, but I was not able to retain any fluids at all due to the Amoeba and rotavirus that I had caught from this place’s food. Thank Good the VA covered everything, since I am 100% combat disabled veteran. However, I wouldn’t want to imagine the amount of money that someone without an insurance like mine would have to pay because of someone not washing their hands after using the restroom and before preparing the food that customers are about to eat. I am bringing this up to you guys’ attention so it does not happen to anybody else. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Something else, Fever, Chills, Body Ache, Gas
