29 November 2022, Chicken salad On the Tuesday I ate a smoked salmon sandwich from here at 12.30pm. Then nothing till the chicken salad at 6,30pm. I hardly ate it. The chicken was rubbery the mayonnaise congealed. It was badly prepared with large rough dark wet leaves. I did not eat the tomatoes or use the dressing that came with it. I felt nauseous within half an hour of eating the very small amount I had gripe bloat stomaco pain reflux. I felt really ill. at 2.30am I vomited. This is the first time in many years on fact since I was poisoned by an oyster. Then two hours later I vomitted again. I then had diarrhoea. The following day I was weak and had a terrible headache. . I also had a temperature of 38.1°. Which lasted till the following day. It is more than a week later and I still feel unlike eating much and have little appetite. I have to say this has been a terrible experience. The incident was reported to them the following day. On the Wednesday. The manager said they had sent a salad maker home the day before because they were ill the manager thought there might have been some cross contamination as I understand. My partner gave his mobile no. Then on Friday he returned and reported again. We have not heard anything back from here. In my opinion this is negligent. In fact it is a really poor response to their poor standards of hygene whether this came from the salad maker or from either the chicken salad. Itseld. For many years I have regularly bought salads and sandwiches from here.
