Keto Frosting Illness Alert - Publix, Deltona Florida

2 months ago reported by user-pvyj3473 business

Publix Super Market at Deltona Landings, 915 Doyle Road, Deltona, FL, USA

915 Doyle Road, Deltona, 32725 Florida, United States

I bought on sale 8/29/2024 keto Duncan Hines Vanilla frosting just noticed after getting so sick date said sell by 9/5/24 so I have 8 days but it went bad then I see ingredients have danger that are hazard to our heath if you have lower immune system . So after eating it 6 hours later was so sick food poisoning hit hard. And poisonous ingredients band "Caramel color" consists of 4 types of caramel with different health risk levels.
North-America regulations make no distinction between these classes and they're all displayed under the same name.
During the manufacturing process of Class Ill & IV, potentially carcinogenic or immunotoxic compounds (4-Mel and THI) are formed which can be eventually found in trace amounts in this color additive.

In view of these effects, the World Health Organization (WHO) established an Acceptable Daily Intake (ADI) in 2002.
Since then, numerous subsequent studies have concluded that nitrites and nitrates are associated with additional toxicity mechanisms, which were not considered in the WHO ADI due to a lack of sufficient data at the time. These studies concern the formation of nitrosamines, a family of compounds, some of which are possible carcinogens and genotoxic, meaning that they can alter the DNA of cells. These compounds can be formed through the conversion of nitrites and nitrates present in meat by a nitrosation reaction.
Therefore, in 2015, the |ARC classified processed meats (ham, sausages, ground beef, etc.) as carcinogenic to humans (Group 1), with nitrosamine formation being a major contributing risk factor.
In 2017, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) reported that there was evidence of a direct link between the formation of nitrosamines and the onset of colon cancer. A positive association between the dietary intake of nitrites and gastric cancer risk was also suggested.
