I am currently hospitalized with shigellosis after developing bloody diarrhea, nausea, fever, chills, and headache during pregnancy. My brother has also been hospitalized with shigella. We ate at all the same restaurants before symptoms developed. We suspect that a beet salad with raw sprouts that we shared at Sawmill Run Restaurant on December 28 might be responsible. Otherwise, we have eaten only cooked food, which we think is less likely to have given us both shigella. Other restaurants we have both eaten at in the past few days are Tacos Apson (did not share food, both ordered different tacos 12/26), El Torero (shared a chili crisp and patty taco 12/27), Time Market (did not share food, brother ordered BLT and i had a hummus plate 12/26), Domino's Pizza (12/25, shared a medium pizza with feta, spinach, garlic), Nattha's Banh Thai Asian (12/24 with leftovers 12/25, shared pineapple red curry). We have not shared any home-cooked food. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Stomach Pain, Fever, Cramps, Chills, Headache, Vomiting
