Monday 7/7/2025 at around 2:30pm, my boyfriend and I stopped into this subway to grab lunch. When we walked in there were currently 2 employees making sandwiches for other customers. A third employee appeared from the back and then put on gloves to make our sandwiches, however I never noticed him washing his hands before he made our sandwiches. A footlong veggie sandwich was the only thing I ate that day, with a bag of Ms. Vickie’s salt and vinegar chip. My boyfriend also order a footlong veggie sandwich but he had cheese added to it. I experience onset symptoms at around 9:30pm that day, so about 7 hours after consumption. My boyfriend started feeling symptoms about 12 hours later, he also only ate a veggie sandwich that day. We both have had extreme stomach cramps, diarrhea, vomiting, cold sweats, and headache. On 7/8/25 the symptoms were at the worst, on 7/9/25 symptoms were headache, body fatigue and cramps, and nausea. On 7/10/25 I attempted to go to work yet I had a headache all day and body cramps. Today 7/11/25 I woke up at around 2am and vomited unexpectedly and again around 5:45am. I had to call off work yet another day. I have slept for most of the day trying to rest and stay hydrated to overcome this. I am convinced that my boyfriend and myself got salmonella from Subway off 933 in South Bend, IN for mishandling food preparation. I’m curious if any other customers in the area experience the same symptoms as my boyfriend and I from the same food handler. #subway #foodpoisoning #pubichealth #salmonella | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Fever, Cramps, Chills, Headache, Fatigue
