Inspectors found significant food safety violations during the inspection. There was evidence of a rat infestation, including more than 100 rat droppings in storage, food display, preparation, canned goods, and front entrance areas. This was cited as a Priority violation. Inspectors also found a previously cited violation that had not been corrected involving damaged, stained, and cracked floor and ceiling tiles in food preparation and grocery areas. This was cited as a Priority Foundation violation.Additional issues included old or torn handwashing signs, food stored on milk and soda crates instead of proper shelving, dirty equipment and surfaces including coolers, shelving, a hot holding unit, and a preparation table, and floors that were not clean. Inspectors also noted clutter in storage and counter areas and a bathroom door that was not self-closing.
