Warm Oysters Sickened Diner - The Forge, Whitstable England

6 months ago reported by user-pxwn3396 business

The Forge, Sea Wall, Whitstable, UK

1 Sea Wall, Whitstable, CT5 1BX England, United Kingdom

I had 4 rock oysters and fish (halibut) and chips at the weekend (Saturday 25 July) at around 1 pm. Around 3 pm I was feeling heavy, bloated, and thirsty. My partner had the fish and chips as well, but no oysters. I noticed the raw oysters were warm, not cold as they would be if served from ice. They were also on a plate without ice. The weather was sunny and hot. I started vomiting at around 5 pm, and had stomach cramping and diarrhoea. I felt nauseous for the rest of the evening with cramps.
I have had oysters there for 7 years in a row and never had this problem but when I look back I would see the oysters being prepared and ice, not this time. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Cramps, Nausea, Bloating
