Report date: Feb 24, 202535. Approved thawing methods used
- comments: observed frozen pizza puffs in a box under grill thawing out. Also noted frozen chicken in a bucket thawing. Instructed manager on proper thawing either in a cooler or under running cool water.
39. Contamination prevented during food preparation, storage & display
- comments: observed a few tcs food in the freezer open and exposed. Instructed manager to properly store in food grade storage containers or bag to prevent possible contamintion and/or freezer burn.
47. Food & non-food contact surfaces cleanable, properly designed, constructed & used
- comments: observed cardboard linning front storage shelving. Must provide and maintain smooth and easily cleanable.
49. Non-food/food contact surfaces clean
- comments: must clean the interior of all coolers to remove spills and/or debris. Also defrost and clean rear and front deep freezer.
53. Toilet facilities: properly constructed, supplied, & cleaned
- comments: observed the washroom door not self closing as required. Must provide and maintain a self closing device.
54. Garbage & refuse properly disposed; facilities maintained
- comments: observed the outside grease receptacle(grease container) encrust with grease on the lid, sides and on the ground around container. This is a possibile food source for pests. Instructed manager to clean and maintain.
55. Physical facilities installed, maintained & clean
- comments: floors need cleaning under and around heavy equipment to remove spills, debris and/or grease.
56. Adequate ventilation & lighting; designated areas used
- comments: observed the hood above the cooking equipment dirty. Must clean and maintain.
