Coconut Cake Illness Alert - Wright's Dairy Farm and Bakery, North Smithfield Rhode Island

On Friday July 15th I picked up several pastries for a family event- in addition to a (whole) chocolate cake, I also purchased a large eclair, cupcake and two slices of coconut cake.

The following day on July 16th, most of the family ate the chocolate cake and was fine. However my mother ate her coconut slice and before finishing she was immediately sickened. She's been sick since then with severe diarrhea. My father only took a bite of it and, albeit mild, also had diarrhea. I had the chocolate cake and was fine. However later in the day I took a small bite of my coconut slice and have had diarrhea and nausea all last night and into today.

My husband and brother both only had the chocolate cake and are fine. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea
