January 8, 2026 - Breakfast at Yah-Yah's was the only thing I ate that day comprised of the Breakfast Bowl, a croissant and an Americano. My boyfriend and I ate exactly the same things that day (including sharing a beach Michalada in the afternoon) "except" for the breakfast bowl (which had eggs, spinach, bacon and avocado). By afternoon I was nauseous and began throwing up in the evening. Was flat out until the next AM. Could be it was something like Norovirus from touching some surface someplace else, but I use a Katadyne water filter on my water bottle (filled with filtered water) and washed hands/use sanitizer frequently. Really frustrating... | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Cramps, Chills, Headache, Something else

Was there rice in the breakfast bowl, or any dairy (maybe a drizzle of cream)? Both rice and dairy can be sources. Also google Sayulita Sickness. Five out if six of us got sicker than we’d ever been before in Sayulita. The one who didn’t get sick was the only one who hadn’t gone in the water or eaten at the open air beer garden so it could have been ecoli in the water or the food we ate
