You can get food poisoning from Mexican and southwestern food. The most commonly reported symptoms from Moe's Southwest grill are nausea and diarrhea. Salmonella is the most commonly reported diagnosis. In 2009 Moe's was linked to an E. Coli outbreak related to steak.

hungry. Finally in the evening I had a massive diarrhea and vomit. All the content of my salad dish was there. I had fever for 2 days (not very high, around 100.8-101 Fahrenheit). I still don't feel normal today (August 2, 2023): I feel still a little bloated and pain in the lower belly and not hungry. I believe the contamination was in the salad since I was the only one with a salad dish and the only one with food poisoning symptoms. I must say that if I were alone last Thursday, I wouldn't have eaten there. I would have just gone back out after I saw how badly, sloppy the food looked.
