My daughter Inlaw died July 14, 2022 in Punta Canta of a heart attack. She was in her 30’s. Her and her husband stayed at the Grand Princess Barvo, She eat at the resort and multiple other restaurants near the resort. They are saying a heart attack
but no farther details have been given. She has 3 young children. I will give more details as they a rise. Her body has not been sent to the states yet. It is still in Punta Cunta. Her symptoms were bleeding from the mouth and respiratory failure.

We stayed in the hotel for 8 days two families, all of us got diarrhea from day one till the last days, one of us got severe vomiting with nausea for multiple days. We didn't eat or drink anything outside of the hotel

My family of 5 just got home from a 6 day stay at this resort (June 18th-26th). 3 out of 5 of us have been violently Ill with my 15 year old ending up in the ER and still experiencing severe diarrhea for 7 days. We have
confirmed Salmonella poisoning. We all had diarrhea starting on day 2 but on the last day fever & body aches accompanied the GI distress. We washed our hands the entire time, only drank bottled water (even brushed our teeth with bottled water) we absolutely got it from the food that was served here! While the hotels aesthetics were nice it doesn’t matter if the safety of hotel guest isn’t priority! Anyone who reaches out to the resort to report this is dismissed with lack of hygiene or that it must have come from from an outside source. No accountability taken from the resort whatsoever! Please be advised and do your research!! WE will NEVER return to this resort again and our hope for the safety of the hotel guest that safe food handling protocols are put in place!!

We stayed at this resort from 21Apr22-27Apr22. My husband became extremely ill with nausea, cramps, vomiting and diarrhea. He was so ill, not even keeping water down that the hotel clinic sent him by ambulance to the hospital. It was definitely the shrimp, it was the only
thing he ate differently than my son and I. Terrible resort and experience.

I stayed at this hotel from 21/03/2022 to 04/04/2022. During the night from March 22, 2022 to March 23, 2022, nausea, diarrhea and vomiting set in. Because of the severe symptoms, the hotel doctor sent me to hospital.

I ate exclusively at the hotel, it is obvious that it was due to the hotel meal (probably because of the medium-cooked lamb in the El Gaucho restaurant, which I had eaten the evening before).

I stayed here for 2 weeks beginning March 18th, I became ill during my second week with stomach cramps and diarrhoea. Once I got home I was still unwell so my Doctor sent off some stool samples which confirmed I had Salmonella. Environment Health were then in
touch with me to track and trace where I had been and they said with absolute certainty given the time I was at the hotel prior to the onset of my symptoms, it was definitely the hotel I caught this at. I could not have caught this on the plane or before I left the UK and I only ate at the resort the entire stay. Lots of people have said lately they got salmonella from this resort and the resort try to deny this and blame the traveller for poor hygiene or try to accuse us of having eaten elsewhere other than the hotel. I even saw them tell someone it might be because they have changed their diet by being on holiday - you don’t get salmonella from simply changing your diet. They will not accept responsibility. When you are at this resort they do not listen or help you there is a massive language barrier so if you need help when ill you won’t get it. It has been almost 3 weeks since I first got sick and I am still not fully recovered. Do not stay here. It is not safe.

Have been here a week and this is our last day. Started feeling incredibly sick with major stomach pains and nausea today. Breathing isn’t great also. Only eaten at the resort and only at the platinum club restaurants today .. Namely buffet for breakfast and PBG grill
for lunch. Have taken some codine for the tummy pain and it’s not helping - it’s that bad! Terrible food.

Just returned a week ago from here. Day 3 we had all started getting sick with extreme stomach pain, diarrhea. The whole trip we were sick. We only could drink bottle water, and ate next to nothing. The food was disgusting there and literally would spit it
out into our napkins. Been over a week since home and still dealing with pains and bowel issues. Daughter spiked fever and was diagnosed with salmonella. So we all have been sick with salmonella. This place was disgusting and food was horrible.

I was there from 2/18 -2/24, on 2/23 I ate a salad from the salad bar at the buffet including cucumbers, lettuce, onions, and ranch dressing. Within 3 hours I was very ill. Vomiting and had extreme diarrhea, both at the same time as some points. It
took two days to stop throwing up, 8 days later I still have diarrhea. I was hospitalized on 3/2 for extremely low potassium due to how sick I have been. I was given IV fluids and magnesium to get levels back to normal. Based on my stool sample results I tested positive for Salmonella, this was 8 days later. Don’t eat the salad!
