Had dinner at Arenal on Wednesday evening. The steak I ordered was most likely the culprit as the sides I had were vegetables and well cooked. I spent all day in bed on Thursday, with vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration, fatigue, and fever chills. The resort provided absolutely nothing
to help. This continued through Friday with some symptoms still on Saturday. Diarrhea is still bad, so I will be going to the doctor for medicine.

We stayed there from Nov 13-18. On Nov. 15 (day 3), my boy friend started to feel sick with vomiting. On that day, we had lunch at Cantina VI.AI.PY, and dinner at Encanta. Potential suspects were smoked salmon from breakfast, insect toastada from lunch, and beef carpaccio
from dinner. Nov. 16 (day 4) he became very tired, with high fever and explosive diarrhea. We went to the doctor at the resort and got antibiotics and a bunch of other medications at our own expense. He barely ate/drink anything other than electrolytes, slices of white bread, and some white rice since. We paid top dollars to this luxury resort, but ended up being miserable.

Wife and I visited for six days and had a fantastic time, but left Mexico with 8+ days of tummy issues and still counting. Fortunately, the bad symptoms and 102.3 fever didn’t come on until after we were home, but we’ve been on antibiotics for a few days now after seeing our primary care doctor.

Honeymoon from the bathroom!
Checked in 3-10-22 and out 3-15-22
Spent 4 days of the 5 day trip miserably sick. Not getting out of bed for 36 hours.
We only ate and drank at the resort and the park tied to the resort.
When we got home

we continued to not get better and went to the dr and were diagnosed with 2 types of Ecoli as well as norovirus and sapoviris.
I contacted the hotel and was told, I quote “post whatever you want on social media and travel pages. There is nothing we can or will do”
I have already seen reports of others experiencing this and I hope this helps couples and families in the future. This is not a honeymoon we will ever forget and never want to relive ever again! | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting

I had my dinner at two restaurants from Xcaret Arte, tahxido and arenal. My and boyfriend is vomiting, also has serious diarrhea and feel so weak. We had tuna sashimi, raw scallops , the hotel doesn’t care about us at all, no one answer my phone , looks like they won’t find out until we died

Oct 31, 2021 to Nov 8, 2021, Not sure if it was the food or water. We had a group of family members staying at Xcaret Arte and most are dealing with diarrhea and some nausea. 2 people that felt too bad to leave their rooms, 5 with diarrhea but could leave their room.
