Started for my husband and I about 4 days into our 8 day trip, after two days of being back in the US still having severe abdominal cramps and diarrhea. My entire family (6 of us) have gotten sick on methanol poisoning and food poisoning, and I hadn’t been hit yet until I was served rotten raw fish. I went to Porto Fino (the Italian restaurant) and ordered a salmon tartare, my daughter ordered the cooked salmon.... See More We took one bite and immediately knew it had gone bad. We told the waiters, they did nothing for us. Later that night, we were both deathly ill. Vomiting all night, dizzy, my son fainted, and still the restaurant refuses to address anything! My entire family is sick, we have wasted over 20 grand on this vacation, and we’re appalled by the service, the food quality, the environment. I got in July 11th feeling absolutely fine— no symptoms. Went to El Patio that night and immediately felt sick afterwards. Played it off because I had just experienced a long flight, thought maybe I was just dehydrated or tired.
The next day I drank a lot... See More of bottled water ate mostly fruits, and then ate a sandwich later on in the day. Sick again. Then some bread and pasta. Sick and even WORSE. Anything I eat here makes me sick, and my brothers girlfriend is experiencing the exact same symptoms.
We are a family of 6 on vacation, we got here the 11th, and by the 14th, 4 of the t6 were badly ill. Vomiting, Diarrhea, body pains, headaches, dizziness.

We were sick there last Monday and still have symptoms. Resort has terrible hygiene practices and ignoring it. There are high cases at that resort this past week.
On the 3rd day I arrived at the Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort (March 16) I started having stomachaches. I said to myself, it's all right, it will pass. A few hours later, it got worse, I vomited a good ten times, I had diarrhea, which is... See More still the case now. My pulse was very low, I was really dehydrated, headache, cramps in my lower abdomen, severe nausea. I told myself that I would go see the doctor, already just leaving the consultation it's super expensive frankly... I was sent to the hospital from the ambulance. They took a blood test, hydrated me a little, and also gave me medication through the blood. I had parasites in my belly. 3200$ CAN for hospital and medication. An unreasonable price in my opinion for so little... How did I get the parasites? Surely in the hotel food, because I did not eat anywhere else, nor did I drink tap water. I cleaned my hands often with hand sanitizer. I can't tell what food I got the parasites from, but it sure came from hotel food. We were also a film of 4 sick ftom Sirenis and still sick now back home. They are downplaying it and have not down anything to change already poor hygiene practices.

Rehydration, small amounts of bland foods graval and immodium. Still struggling to eat and our kids are fine. My husband and I have mostly slept a lot.
