Shameful , this stuff usually is for kids, they might not be able to tell something was off or be able to articulate it. Smelling the open container directly was a very pungent chemical smell we recognize it but can't quite put our finger on it. Some.sort of chemical sour smell.
Update: I recognized where I have smelt this beforel, it's the smell of rancid olive oil, or rancid almonds. This is the primary strong odor coming from the container. It does not list olive oil or almonds, just mentioning this is what it reminds me of. See Less

Similarly the breadsticks on top were warm but underneath they were hard. The soup had no chicken was thin and luke warm. he waitress said they may have run out of the ingredients. They brought out another bowl that was overfilled with gnocchi. I wondered where they got all the ingredients the second time. My mother in-law wasn't starving and decided not to eat. I was so hungry I ate a little bit of soup and a bread stick but nothing tasted right. The manager came and after we had to prove the food was old he took our food off the bill. About an hour later I was having stomach cramps on and off. This went on for hours. They became progressively worse to the point where I couldn't do anything the rest of the day. The nausea started and the cramping was getting much worse. Around 9pm I started to sweat all over soaking through my clothes and I couldn't stop shaking. The stomach cramping was so bad we decided I should go to the hospital thinking it might be an appendicitis. It was midnight. I've never been doubled over in pain like this before. I could hardly walk. Before we could get to the car, I projectile vomited over and over. I was so weak and shaking so hard I couldn't even stand up. After vomiting I realized I had severe food poisoning. My son has autism and he was so frightened crying and begging me not to leave! I would have left hours earlier but he was hysterical. This was the most frightening experience in my entire life. Instead of me it could have been an elderly person or someone immunocompromised that became this violently ill, they could've died.. See More 2023 I ate the Ben & Jerry's dairy free Cherry Garcia and literally 5 minutes after I ate it, it gave me severe diarrhea, stomach cramps and nausea. I also googled if anyone else has had issues and a lot of people have. I contacted Ben & Jerry’s via their website and made my complaints. I'm still sick after 3 days later. I still have diarrhea, nausea and upset stomach with a decreased appetite. I believe that Ben & Jerry’s ice cream took out my good bacteria and replaced it with bad bacteria. I have an appointment with my primary care physician and I’ve been taking a probiotic and prebiotic and I’m still currently on a bland diet to help my stomach and colon get back to normal. I have reported my symptoms to the FDA for investigation and to make other consumers aware of the toxic and poisoning that Ben & Jerry’s put in their ice creams. I feel there should be a class action lawsuit against this company. I believe it to be the combo of Locust Bean Gum and Carrageenan they both can cause severe stomach and colon issues. Carrageenan & Locust Bean Gum added ingredients can give people upset stomach, diarrhea & colon issues. These two ingredients being combined in your ice creams can cause internal damage to humans. Carrageenan alone in some products can do this to people, but less likely severe. It's more severe when combined with another ingredient like Locust Bean Gum it increases the chances for stomach pain, upset, and diarrhea. I'm still a little sick, and I've been on a bland diet since it happened. My appetite has decreased, but I'm much better than I was. Unfortunately, I didn't get the bottom of the chocolate chip cookie dough. I forgot, and I did get the bottom of the cherry garcia. My local store doesn't take back food returns. I threw them both in the trash.
