Inspectors found several significant food safety violations during the inspection, and citations were issued. A food handler was seen handling trash and returning to food work without proper handwashing, including washing hands without soap. Inspectors also found that the restaurant did not have adequate supplies for cleaning up vomit or diarrhea incidents, which are needed to respond to potential norovirus contamination.Inspectors found marinating and partially cooked chicken and beef stored in contact with container lids that had fuzzy white, black, and greenish material on them. The person in charge discarded about 200 pounds of food valued at $500. Inspectors also found a smoothie prep cooler holding food at 56.7°F, above the required cold-holding temperature of 41°F or below, and cited the restaurant for improper temperature control.
Additional issues included unlabeled bulk dry ingredients, wiping cloths not stored in sanitizer between uses, an ice scoop stored on a towel on top of the ice bin, and unclean toilet fixtures and floors around the toilet.
