Inspectors found several significant food safety violations during the inspection, and citations were issued. The restaurant did not have a Chicago Certified Food Manager on site while time- and temperature-sensitive foods such as chicken and beef were being prepared and served. Inspectors also observed poor hand hygiene, including a food handler putting on gloves without first washing hands. Handwashing sinks were not properly stocked or accessible, including one sink without soap and sinks blocked by items.

Other cited significant violations included missing sanitizer test strips needed to verify that sanitizer is at the proper strength, and previously cited violations that had not been corrected. Those prior issues included damaged handwashing signage, a rear door gap that could allow pests in, missing hair restraints, improperly stored wiping cloths, dirty freezer surfaces, and missing proof of food handler training. Additional findings included fly strips hanging in a prep area, a dirty can opener, a leaking sink pipe, and water-stained ceiling tiles.
