21 hours ago reported by user-xzwxy349 business

CASA MUSA, Avenida Francia, Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic

Calle Beller, Santiago de los Caballeros, 51000 Santiago, Dominican Republic

Myself and two others in our party of 18 were severely food poisoned on the night of Friday, June 19 at 9:00 pm. Although others ate the hamburgers, ours were the first three hamburgers to be served around five minutes before the other hamburgers. All three of us which were served first got poisoned. It started at midnight with severe vomiting 10-15 times each hour. The frequent diarrhea, stomach cramps and flu like symptoms, including chills, have persisted for over three days, and we will likely need medical attention. We are very disturbed that the Casa Musa restaurant does not meet safe food handling standards and is poisoning its customers. Ironically, after eating off the grid for a week, we get food poisoning from what appeared to be a legitimate restaurant. At this time, don't feel safe about traveling to the Dominican Republic again. Would like the manager of the restaurant to reach out to our party to apologize. In hindsight, the hamburgers appeared severely overcooked with a thick crusty shell on one side, where it looked like some type of paste was cooked embedded into it, almost like burnt cheese. However, it was not cheese, because the cheese was actually on the bun which was served on the side. I'm thinking that the meat was contaminated and/or expired, and the restaurant chose to serve it anyway but thought that if they cooked it until it was burnt that they would be able to kill the bacteria. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Here is the contact information for the restaurant: Casa Musa, Calle Restauración, Santiago de los Caballeros, Santiago, Dominican Republic. Phone +1 829 761 7155 | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Fever, Cramps, Chills, Headache
