Suspected food poisoning. Symptoms: Nausea, Stomach Pain, Chills, Headache, other: GasSuspected source: Rice? “Crazy Feta?”
Onset: 4 to 12 hours
Duration: 4 to 12 hours
Additional information: I ordered a saffron rice bowl with cucumbers, tomato and onions, and corn with the garlic dressing. I also ordered a side of feta with a pita. Four hours after eating Cava, I had SEVERE gastrointestinal pain. My insides felt like they wanted to be on the outside! I had severe gas. If I thought sticking a needle in my belly to relieve the gas pressure would help, I would have (it wouldn’t, so I didn’t). I have prescription medication to stop nausea (Zofran), so I took it, along with Pepto chewables, Imodium, and an extra dose of my prescription pain medication. It took 24 hours for the pain to go away completely and the gas to subside. Maybe it was the crazy feta? I’ll probably eat there again, so I’ll start eliminating things from my order - starting with the feta. | Symptoms: Nausea, Stomach Pain, Chills, Headache, Gas, Cramps
