4 years ago •source pe.com • business
1222 Magnolia Avenue, Corona, 92881 California, United States
Closure Date: 02-08-2021Overflowing wastewater, no sanitizer. A floor sink wasn’t draining and wastewater was flowing into the food-prep area. Also, there was no sanitizer on site, which is required in all food facilities. Among the 13 other violations, the person in charge didn’t wash hands between trying to unclog the floor sink and serving a customer; the inspector found a live roach, a dead roach and mouse droppings; the restaurant wasn’t keeping track of how long ham and cheese croissants were being kept at room temperature; there was mold inside the ice machine (not touching ice); shelving, floors and other surfaces needed cleaning; and numerous structural violations found in September had not been fixed. This was the restaurant’s third C grade and fourth closure since 2018 — it was shut down for cockroaches in August 2020, overflowing wastewater in October 2019 and cockroaches and no sanitizer in September 2018. It now faces an administrative hearing.
