Brisket Bloat, Peppers Blamed - Firehouse Subs, Sumter South Carolina

Me and a friend ordered two 6 inch beef and cheddar briskets for takeout. I added sautéed unions and green peppers to be put on mine. Got home, ate it, and went to the movie theatre directly after. The movie was around 2h and 40m and I was feeling extreme discomfort and bloating throughout the entire movie to the point where I needed to stand up. Afterwards I went to the bathroom to try to pass a stool but nothing came out. When I got home 30m after the movie ended, the pain started increasing and I couldn’t burp as it felt like something was blocking the air. I attempted to pass additional stools and only little bits came out each time and each time I still felt very bloated. After 3 hours of this, in a final desperate attempt to pass one more stool to relieve my stomach pain at 3am-ish, I took Pepto Bismol. Not even 5 minutes after ingestion, I started projectile vomiting for about 5-8 mins on and off. There were chunks of green pepper, onion also what looked like bits of pickle. After that, my stomach pain was relieved but there was still discomfort. The next day my friend (that was completely fine as I was going through all of this) started experiencing liquid stools and stomach discomfort to the point were he was forced to lay in bed all day. This is a guy who hates being inside and is always working on something. I experienced intense fatigue also, most likely due to dehydration from vomiting my insides out, and also had stools that were very liquid in nature to. It has now been 48h and my symptoms are thankfully getting better. My friend is still saying his stools are liquid-like but his stomach is feeling somewhat better now as well. This is the worst experience ive had in recent memory and the first time I’ve ever experienced food poisoning. Not sure what the condition of the product used to make our Subs were, but we will not be going back that’s for sure. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Fatigue, Dehydration, Bloating, Stomach Pain, Burping
