Warm Slaw Food Safety Concern - KFC, Merced California

I went to a nearby KFC this evening, ordered a 2 piece thigh and leg dinner with the mashed potatoes and a coleslaw on the side. I got home and there was just the box, napkins, and no slaw. So I went back and they questioned my due diligence. I stated there was the box, napkins, salt, pepper and honey, no side of slaw. They gave me the side of slaw. I got home and opened the box and there UNDER my HOT potatoes and next to the HOT chicken and biscuit sits the what used to be cold, but now warm, mayonnaise coveted Cole slaw. Is putting Cole slaw in a box surrounded by heat, when it's ingredients are cabbage, carrot and mayo not a danger as it could so easily promote bacterial, fungal and other growth in this warm dark environment?
