Tuna Poke Bowl Illness - Pokéworks, San Antonio Texas

5 years ago reported by user-xczrr791 business

Pokeworks, La Cantera Pkwy, San Antonio, TX, USA

15900 La Cantera Parkway, San Antonio, 78256 Texas, United States

I had lunch on Tuesday, July 30th. It was pretty hot day. The restaurant was busy at lunchtime. There were about 5 staffs behind glass food case for us to see and pick what we want. Now I remember each container for raw fish was not covered and was exposed to the air. I ate a poke bowl with tuna and spicy tuna on top of sushi rice along with some veges and toppings.
I finished all of it. It was delicious. I was fine the day. But my husband who had a poke bowl with tuna and salmon complained of fever feeling, stomachache, and diarrhea.
Next day I started feeling stomachache intermittently and diarrhea each time when I went to bathroom. Now it’s been a week after eating the poke bowl. We both still have intermittent stomachache and diarrhea. We can work and function with our regular life. We think even if we go to doctor, there is not much they can do. We just have to wait for this to go away. Also it is slowly getting better. But these symptoms are not pleasant.
We strongly believe this is from the tuna we had there. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Fever, Stomach Pain
