Food Safety Report: Whole Foods Market, Pearl Street, Boulder, CO, United States.

Whole Foods Market, Pearl Street, Boulder, CO, United States

2905 Pearl Street, Boulder, 80301 Colorado, United States

For the second time now, I have gotten food poisoning from eating at the Whole Foods Market in Boulder, CO. The first time years ago was from eating some packaged Diestel Organic Turkey that turned out was not kept cold enough to ward off harmful bacteria. The second time was a few days ago on January 7, 2018 after eating some Salmon Avocado Roll Sushi made with Brown Rice. The symptoms were identical in both occurrences. Severe diarrhea and nausea within hours of digesting the food. The second day was accompanied with a low-grade fever and lethargy. I could not work for two entire days as the symptoms were too debilitating. Note, that the sushi was refrigerated at the time of purchase and kept cold during my 20 minute drive home by the use of two complementary ice bags.

Once again, I am deeply disappointed by the lack of quality control regarding your consumables. Your customers should NOT be getting sick from the food you sell and better safeguards need to be implemented to help prevent this type of problem.

I am very upset, not to mention concerned over this, as this is again the second time I have gotten food poisoning from eating at the Whole Foods Market in Boulder, CO. I sincerely doubt that I’ll ever visit that location again. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Fever, Nausea

That Whole Foods is terrible. I once bought a package of raw pork chops, and when I opened it, WOW the spoiled smell was SO strong. I called in to tell them they were selling spoiled meat, and the first thing the guy said to me (on the phone!!) was, "They're not spoiled." Um, sir, how can you be so sure of that over the phone?? Denial much?
