my mother purchased a salad dressing from costco. i ate it at around 3 pm, began feeling nauseous at 9 pm, and threw up at around midnight.

looking back, one thing i noticed that was different about the dressing was that it was very runny, and pooling … See More
at the bottom of the bowl. also, the same bottle i used to make my salad was left out of the fridge for an unknown amount of time on friday (i ate the salad on monday), because we had family coming over and my mother wanted to have the dressing and lettuce readily available.

considering that my vomit tasted of salad dressing and my vomit had clumps of chewed up lettuce in it (sorry for the graphic description!), i think the moral of the story is DO NOT eat a caesar salad if anything looks even slightly off: if the dressing is runny even after you shook it (which i did), if you think you left it out for too long, and if you start feeling a little weird after a couple of bites, don't try to finish the salad in the name of "not wasting any food" or "emptying the plate"!  | Symptoms: Nausea, Vomiting
