Seven Seas International USA recalled its 4 oz. Biltmore Smoked Sockeye Salmon because it may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. These items were shipped to Florida and distributed by Publix Grocery stores only. According to the recall notice, published by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), only the products with Production Code 41CM and a sell-by date of 23rd May 2019 are subject to this recall. All other production codes are not part of this recall. The product carries the following UPC code: 007-36211-88774
Did you purchase this product? Publix advises not to consume it and return it to the store where it was originally purchased for a full refund. No illnesses have been reported to date.
FDA states that the recall was the result of a routine sampling program by the Florida Department of Agriculture, which revealed that some of the finished product samples tested positive for the bacteria.
