My son purchased a box of Froot Loops with Marshmallows one week ago (April 16) and became violently ill within a few hours after eating. He was the only family member to eat the cereal, and the only family member to get sick. I ate Froot Loops before my orientation for work. 3 hours later I was running out the classroom 5 different times throwing up. I had chills, sweats, and stomach cramps. On April 16, 2022 I purchased a small container of Froot Loops at the airport for my daughter to eat on the plane. Shortly after finishing the Froot Loops she started to complain of a stomach ache. She had loose stools and then she repeatedly vomited on... See More the plane for hours. It was so bad that we considered having to make an emergency landing to get her medical attention. We could not figure out why she was so ill so suddenly. My husband had severe diarrhea and the vomiting yesterday after eating a bowl of Froot Loops with marshmallows. We saw where people got sick after eating Lucky Charms. The store has just been open now for at least 8 mo now. i have only eaten there twice and both times ive eaten there was during the afternoon lunch rush. 1st time- my symptoms started that following evening... With diarrea, vomiting and stomach pain. no fever.... See More lasted for 2 days. I couldnt keep nothing down. I had a grilled chicken sandwich meal. 2nd time- was yesterday 5/19/17 & i nhad the whopper deal 2 for $6, with a froot loops shake and onion rings. Today, 5/20/17- left work early bc i kept running back and forth to the bathroom with diarrea and stomach pain. my work schedule was 8am to 3:30pm. Got off around 11:45am, feeling very sick. A fever came by time i got home and now the vomiting, along with diarrea. Will see a doctor if it gets worse. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Fever, Nausea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain See Less

This is my posting that was submitted yesterday. Update: Today, 5/20/17... I went to the hospital. I was very dehydrated. Ate no solid foods for 2 days straight and tried to keep liquids down but the diarrea kept coming. After a discussion with the doctor, they did say that it could possibly be food poisoning but needs to run its course, just like the flu. All testings came back normal. I was sent home with a nausau medication prescribed to me. Also, was told to get lots of rest and drink lots of fluids. Got an IV for the dehydration. Now, im home and feeling a lil' bit more comfortable to actually sleep with no problems. Thank you Hershey Medical Center team. :-)
