In response to the outbreak, health officials are stressing the importance of proper hygiene, particularly regular hand washing with soap and water, as this could prevent further spreading of the virus. The public is also being cautioned to stay home if feeling unwell and to ensure children remain home for 48 hours after symptoms have subsided to avoid the risk of transmitting the disease to others.
Gastro symptoms include nausea, stomach pains, fever, headaches, a loss of appetite and in severe cases, vomiting, and diarrhoea. In case you experience these symptoms, report it now. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care
