Connecticut Crab Company LLC is recalling its crab cakes due to potential temperature abuse, which may lead to the growth of Clostridium botulinum. The affected products were distributed to food service locations in New York and New Jersey in the United States.

AFFECTED PRODUCT:

PRODUCT: Crab Cakes
- Various sizes
- Produced on March 9, 11, 13, 16, and 18, 2026.
- They range from 0.5 oz to 5 oz per cake
- Packaged in shrimp boxes weighing 4-5 lbs
- Containing 20 to 135 crab cakes per box.
- Approximately 39 boxes, or 175 lbs, are affected.

The issue was discovered voluntarily by the company, and the recall was initiated on March 25, 2026. It is classified as a Class II recall, with the classification date on April 8, 2026. The recall is ongoing.
