Seafood Mac Contamination Suspected - Dock Local, Nashville Tennessee

My wife and I visited Nashville, Tennessee during the week of June 19. On June 23 at approximately 2:00 PM, I visited this location. I ordered Seafood Mac with added shrimp. The bill was $8.78 including tax and paid with credit card. This was our second time eating in here because we ate there the previous day and ordered food from other establishments. Because we liked the food from other restaurants the previous day, we decided to try new places on June 23. This was my first time eating at here. After waiting approximately 10 minutes for my order to be ready, I was called to the counter by a rather large guy in a brown shirt and told that my order was ready. I picked up the order and just when I was ready to pick up the tray, I noticed that the service clerk brushed his hands over the food. The food was in a small Styrofoam dish and uncovered. I was dismayed at this but decided that perhaps this was just his nervous reaction or habit. Waiters often brush their hands over food and this is unacceptable but I was very hungry, so I hoped for the best. I also noticed that the food was not hot. After waiting almost 10 minutes, I expected to receive hot food. After I took a few bites of the mac and shrimp, I started to feel queasy. After another bite, I was nauseous and I stopped eating. Unable to find a restroom, I ran to the hallway and immediately vomited in a corner as far away from people as I could get. A female security guard or attendant in a booth noticed my distress and pointed me to the nearest rest room. I went into the rest room, entered a stall and continued heaving and vomiting until I felt that I had gotten rid of everything that I ate at here. After 10 or 15 minutes, I was able to compose myself and exit the restroom feeling much better. I felt completely normal before eating the few forkfuls of food from here and until then, I was having a great day. The food quickly made me sick. Then after vomiting up the food, I felt better again. I am absolutely convinced that the Seafood Mac was contaminated somehow. Luckily, my wife ordered her food from another establishment and had no problems that day. I probably should have saved the food and sent it somewhere to be analyzed. However, I was worried about my personal survival at the time and I left the food on a table as I went to vomit and my wife eventually threw the food away. I did not say anything to the staff at there because by this time, the damage was done and I was just happy to be a survivor. I suppose the only thing they could have done was offer me more food and I did not want to eat there again. By this time, I had lost my appetite and did not regain it until hours later. | Symptoms: Nausea, Vomiting
