Xcaret Raw Seafood Illness - Hotel, Playa del Carmen Quintana Roo

This was my third visit to Hotel Xcaret México, and in the past, I have thoroughly enjoyed your exceptional hospitality, beautiful accommodations, and outstanding culinary experiences. Unfortunately, my most recent stay did not meet the high standards I have come to associate with your resort.

Shortly after my departure around 3 p.m. on May 16th, I began experiencing severe symptoms consistent with food poisoning, including vomiting and diarrhea. Upon returning home, I sought medical attention and have since been placed under evaluation, including a stool test, to identify the specific bacteria involved.

I believe it is important to bring this matter to your attention as a potential issue concerning food safety. During my stay, I consumed raw fish and shellfish from both your buffet and the Cuevas steakhouse. I am deeply concerned about the possibility of improper food handling or storage that may have led to this illness.

I kindly ask that you review your food preparation protocols and take appropriate steps to ensure the continued safety and well-being of your guests. I would also appreciate a response regarding how this matter will be addressed.
