Raw Oysters Cause Illness - La Calle Doce, Lancaster Texas

1 year ago reported by user-mmmdc452 business

La Calle Doce, Historic Town Square, Lancaster, TX, USA

161 Historic Town Square, Lancaster, 75146 Texas, United States

Ate a dozen raw oysters at a mexican seafood restaurant 1 week ago. Had symptoms within 12 hours. Stomach aches, nausea, diarrhea, headaches, chills. Figured symptoms would pass over weekend, had to go to urgent care. Got antibiotics, but the symptoms from that are just as awful. Bloating is debilitating, cramping, nausea, chills. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Headache, Bloating, Chills, Cramps, Stomach Pain, Weakness

People are once again strongly advised not to eat raw oysters. Restaurants are also reminded/required not to serve raw or undercooked oysters - oysters need to be cooked thoroughly to reach the internal temperature of least 145F (55C).
