My boyfriend and I dined at here for Valentines Day and ate from the pre fixe menu. We had the lobster ceviche and steak frites. We left the restaurant around 9 pm and at 10 we both felt incredibly ill. I begin to throw up, uncontrollably from 10 pm on 2/14 till I reached mass general ER around 8:30 pm on 2/15. A full 24 hours later. I won’t go into specifics of how sick I was, but I had severe food poisoning from the raw lobster ceviche. Both my boyfriend and I called them, at first to report the food poisoning and see if anyone else had reported food poisoning and then also to see if they would give us a refund of our meal. Both times we called they said they would give us a call back and we have heard nothing. When I had reached the ER I was dangerously dehydrated and luckily through great doctors and nurses at MGH, I am on the road to recovery. My symptoms for the last day included: vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, blood in vomit.
Truly incredible experience at there… we will never be dining there per our experience of speaking with the staff and lack of urgency to remediate this problem. Thankfully I am now ok but have not been able to eat food since 2/14. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Dehydration

How awful!! By law their menu should have had consumer advisory warning you of raw seafood possibly causing foodborne illness. Never heard of serving raw lobster before either. Always a risk.
I'm so sorry that happened to you. My worst food poisoning experience was in 1990 in NYC, from prepared shrimp bisque I bought at a high-end supermarket and ate that night. There is some particular bacteria in undercooked shellfish. I had the same symptoms you did, and I was up all night simultaneously vomiting and having diarrhea. By morning I was dehydrated and passed out. I pretty much couldn't eat for days, and was nauseous and woozy/dizzy for a week. My doctor called in a prescription for an antibiotic. I tried to report it to the supermarket, but no one would put me through to the manager. If you haven't already, you need to call the Boston Dept. of Health and report it directly to them. They will send an inspector to the restaurant. That's how it works in Massachusetts; the doctor or hospital will not report it to the Dept. of Health.
I ate ceviche fish in Los Moches, Mexico, and got incredibly sick later that night. Will never eat ceviche again. Why risk it? No thanks.
