Food Safety Report: Maki Yaki Express, 635 N. Main St. Suite B2, Corona.

5 years ago source pe.com business

635 North Main Street, Corona, 92880 California, United States

Closure Date: 09-28-2020

Cockroach infestation. The inspector found live roaches “too numerous to count” under the dishwashing and handwashing sinks and dead roaches all over the floors. There was one other critical violation, for a bowl of raw fish at an unsafe temperature in a broken freezer (everything else had been removed). Among the lesser violations, imitation crab meat was being thawed unsafely; the cook said their practice is to puncture the packages and leave them out at room temperature. Additionally, employees were not wearing masks properly or at all. The restaurant was closed because of a cockroach infestation for nine days in September 2019.
