Teen's Steak Dinner Illness - Texas Roadhouse, Portage Indiana

4 days ago reported by user-qxnxm538 business

Texas Roadhouse, US Highway 6, Portage, IN, USA

6130 US Highway 6, Portage, 46368 Indiana, United States

My son who is 17 years old ate at the Texas Roadhouse in Portage Indiana on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 with his friend (no other family members were with him). He ate a sirloin steak, grilled shrimp, baked potato and green beans and cherry coke to drink. That evening overnight, he suffered from a headache and restlessness/insomnia. We called him off school and then Thursday morning he has a low grade fever of 99.4 in the morning with a headache. During the day Thursday he vomited once and had multiple episodes of diarrhea with abdominal cramps. Thursday evening had a temp of 100.0 and continuous diarrhea and abdominal cramps. Today he is continuing to have multiple episodes of watery diarrhea, four times already this morning. No one else in the family has gotten ill (we were not at the restaurant with him) and I contacted Valparaiso Community school nurse Deb Shepard, who stated there have been no gastrointestinal illnesses reported in the school whatsoever. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Fever, Cramps, Chills, Headache, Gas
