she was so dehydrated. Best we can tell, despite our best efforts to avoid ingesting the local water (which we knew was not safe) the coffee pot in our room was washed with tap water, not filtered water, and so she got infected that way. I ended up with cramping and stool troubles a few days in, resulting in a steady diet of pepto bismal to keep myself functioning, my brother caught a bad throat infection from sources unknown, and on the flight back, my father also had explosive diarrhea, which he contained by downing anti-diarrheal medication, and is now vomiting the morning after.

I have no specifics on further cases, but on the one excursion I went out on there were three other people who had gotten sick with diarrhea. It was a group of 27. Symptoms began around the 10th and 11th of June, it is now the 16th, and most of us are finally starting to do better.  | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Cramps, Dehydration

next we knew several hours had gone by and we didn't know how we got there to the other resort pool, My husband became very ill after just a few drinks. He is a large guy and can hold liquor but not this kind. My husband had to go to ER on resort and tgey told him he was just drunk. We knew that was not the case. They sent us away., My husband became ill with severe vomiting and chest pains and complaints of not being able to breathe. He started convulsing and vomiting more. It has been 5 days since we got back home to US and he still has severe diarrhea and chest pains., We think the resort food was not prepared properly for food safety which could have also been a contributor to his illness. I was also sick with diarrhea symptoms after arriving home. 2 other friends of ours were also ill with same symtpms., Our friends were also in our villa. I had food from an off shore snorkeling excursion while on a cruise, I figured out I got sick from the Cole Slaw, it was the only thing my partner didn't eat and he didn't get sick. I also felt as if I might have diarrhea but I couldn't (possibly due to previous two days of fasting with no food and no water).
