Ruby Princess cruise ship linked to a gastrointestinal illness Outbreak

The CDC is investigating a gastrointestinal illness outbreak linked to the Ruby Princess cruise ship with Voyage Dates: February 26–March 5, 2023 and Voyage Number: RU305P. 284 passengers have reported being ill during the voyage out of a total of 2881 (9.9%) passengers onboard. Of the 1159 crew members, 34 have reported being ill during the voyage, that is 2.9% of all crew. The predominant symptoms are vomiting and diarrhea. The causative agent is unknown at this time.
In response to the outbreak, Princess Cruises and the crew aboard the ship reported the following actions:
- Increased cleaning and disinfection procedures according to the ship’s outbreak prevention and response plan.
- Collected stool specimens from gastrointestinal illness cases to send to the CDC lab for pathogenic identification.
- Distributed notifications and made ship announcements to embarking guests informing them of increased number of illness cases onboard the previous voyage.

After about a half hour or so, I had a serious migraine with light sensitivity and missing patches in my visual field; this is my body's typical reaction to food poisoning. See More felt extremely nauseated and began projectile vomiting in short bursts over the next five hours, each wave lasting about ten to twenty minutes, starting with a few small chunks and ending with around 3 really huge volumes of ham sandwich forcing it's way out; this is the first time I've had such a severe reaction. I have also felt freezing cold the entire time as well as now, even while wrapped in a robe and under 3 blankets in a warm room. In between projectile vomiting bursts I felt nauseated, and had trouble focusing and even speaking. I also had (and still have) a distinct numbness in my hands, and I still have a hellacious headache now - 8 and a half hours later - that throbs every time I move my head and especially upon standing . The numbness and the headache are possibly side-effects from dehydration and electrolyte loss after the intense vomiting fits; it took roughly 8 hours of vomiting before I could even keep liquids down.
All ingredients used for the sandwiches were purchased just yesterday; travel time from the store to home is a matter of minutes and the food was put away as soon as we arrived home. The sandwiches were eaten right after they were made.
I cannot be 100% certain if it was the ham or the mayonnaise that got me sick.

I bought a case of Miracle Noodles from here. The case contained 6 individually packaged noodles. Inside the packet you tear the zip strip, is another package you must open. I grabbed 2 packages to make dinner, first one, I dump in the colander to rinse, per... My first thought was, “ Well, maybe it is just the packaging with contamination, and now I better extra rinse the noodles that I do have in the colander because some of the black goop fell into the pasta being rinsed.” Upon washing the inner bag off, there appears to be mold inside the package also. Upon contacting the company via an online chat(no phone number was available) I was basically told too bad, take it to store for a refund we don’t care. Very disappointing approach to moldy sealed food from a company! I didn’t need a refund, but besides telling me to take pictures, and send it to them, too bad for me(eventhough it ruined my planned meal and I could only make half) it was my problem, not theirs.
