Popsicle Food Poisoning

Consuming popsicles carries a risk of foodborne illness. Popsicles, highlighted by an April 2018 recall in the US, are at a high risk of contamination with Listeria. This can result in symptoms such as fever, headache, nausea, and abdominal pain.

- Product: Creamy Coconut Popsicle 3oz frozen popsicle, Product Quantity: 329 boxes (48/bx), Manufacturer No. 010212, Reason for Recall: Undeclared sulfites.
- Product: Fruity Pebbles Popsicle 3oz frozen popsicle, Product Quantity: 731 boxes (48/bx), Manufacturer No. 010212, Reason for Recall: Undeclared Color Additives - Yellow #5.
The recall was initiated on February 7, 2024, and is currently ongoing.

Banana Pudding pops were manufactured between 2/21/23 - 1/17/24 and distributed between 2/26/23 - 2/6/24. Creamy Coconut pops were manufactured between 5/4/23 - 1/18/24 and distributed between 5/8/23 - 2/6/24. Fruity Pebble pops were manufactured between manufactured between 2/9/23 - 12/8/23 and distributed between 2/13/23 - 2/6/24. These were sold directly to end consumer via food truck.
