“Velveeta cheese shell cup from an 8 pack box. The kind you add water to then microwave then stir in the cheese part., 2 got sick. My hub had said he threw up and was ill. I made one of the cups since the box was open. I laid down and woke up 3.5 hours later with severe vertigo and nausea. I hobbled miserably as moving caused more nausea. Made it to the Restroom in time to toss back the cheese and shells. After purging my system ( throwing up) I felt some relief and hobbled back to bed. Woke up 3 hrs later and still having some slight dizziness but absolutely not like prioir event. Had I been able to leave my husband I would have called 911 for transport- it was that bad. Recall details: EWING, N.J – Church & Dwight Co., Inc. (NYSE:CHD) today initiated a voluntary recall... See Moreof select vitafusion gummy products after the Company’s investigation of two consumer reports identified the possible presence of a metallic mesh material in product lots manufactured in a four-day period between October 29 and November 3, 2020.
The Company is not aware of any reports of consumer illness or injury to-date. In some severe cases, ingesting a metallic material could lead to damage of the digestive tract. Church & Dwight is coordinating closely with the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and following all relevant protocols. The recalled gummy vitamin products are can be checked in the link below with the Universal Product Code (UPC) and Lot Code or in the pictures attached to this notice. No other products are included in this recall. These products were distributed to in-store and e-commerce retailers from November 13, 2020 through April 9, 2021.
Consumers who have purchased one of the products listed below should stop consumption immediately. Please call our dedicated Consumer Affairs team at +1 (800) 981-4710 before disposing of the product, and we will provide a full refund.
