Riverside County Fire Department announced that they received shortly after midnight on Monday, April 25, 2022 reports of several sub-contracted Coachella festival shuttle drivers becoming ill with food poisoning after dining at an offsite location by a caterer unaffiliated with the festival.

shuttle bus drivers were transported to hospitals through the Coachella Valley. The chief complaint of the shuttle drivers was nausea and vomiting. This incident did not affect any of the guests attending the festival according to the release.

I had puked out the entire sandwhich. I was left feeling nauseous and I’ll with diarrhoea for a day or two afterwards. This leaves me to believe I contracted Staphylococcus as it matches the incubation time and is a food poisoning that can occur from sandwhiches.
