My wife got sick on day 2, she had constant watery diarrhea, which turned into repeated projectile vomiting. She threw up for about 6 hours straight, and then couldn't keep anything down the next day. Took her to the on-site clinic and the doctor was very helpful,
treated her for dehydration and gave her an antibiotic/anitparasitic medication. 2 days later and she wakes up with diarrhea again, and 10 minutes after that, I get it too. I was up all night was constant watery diarrhea. I still can't trust gas. Around 6am, I projectile vomited my guts out and I'm feeling so drained. Was able to keep down some crackers and a banana provided by guest services. The only thing keeping me going is the pedialyte my wife was given by the doctor.

6/7 of our group got stomach cramps/diarrhea & fevers at majestic colonial on our stay 1/6-1/13. Spending a day or 2 in your room while vacationing in paradise really stinks. Water & ice there is supposed to be filtered and we didn’t use sink water to brush
our teeth so we aren’t sure whether it was food or water related. I did witness a gloved chef at the buffet putting raw hamburgers on the grill and then cut cooked turkey & pork to serve guests without changing gloves. I know the utensils he used were contaminated.

3/4 of my party got food poisoning at Majestic Colonial. My sister’s poisoning was so bad that she has been hospitalised in Punta Cana. She is on her second day of hospitalisation now and we have missed our returning flight due to this. She has a severe
intestinal infection with high fever and diarrhea. A couple of days ago she had vomiting and cramps. The medical clinic on the premises treated and prescribed her some medication for stomach pain and probiotics but no antibiotics, she progressively got worse to the point where another medical clinic we consulted immediately advised us an ambulance needed to be ordered to transport her to the hospital. She is on day 2 of antibiotics, IV drip and other treatment now. My mother and I also had food poisoning with vomiting and intense stomach pain. Luckily ours did not progress to the intestines like my sister. I reported all incidents during our stay but other than making me fill out a paper form they did not do anything. We were all careful with hand sanitisation and we are not big drinkers. In my mom’s case she does not drink alcohol at all and my sister had maybe half a glass of wine the day she fell ill. We never left the premises during our stay so it is 100% the food at Majestic Colonial. I am furious and attempting to contact them for some kind of partial refund.

11/22/23 Not sure. Became sick that night. Wife became sick 11/25 when we returned home. Urgent Care confirmed we both had food poisoning on 11/26. The resort had back to back cases that same day

Was only there 3 days upon returning back to the US started feeling sick chills fever cold sweats and yea explosive diarrhea, great time but I will NOT be returning to this resort again food was okay but nothing worth getting sick over .Wouldn’t recommend

I ate Picana at the restaurant near the beach which is a steak and seafood and a buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. 4 hours later I woke up with severe chills and shakiness, with the worst stomach cramps and vomiting.

Since November 23, my partner and I have been sick with our stomachs with diarrhea. We thought it could have been something we ate at the hotel since we saw bad food at the buffet (bread with mushrooms, for example, or fruit with a rotten smell, or
butters WITHOUT AN EXPIRY DATE) we mentioned it to the waitress but it didn't matter. We've been having diarrhea for 3 days, when we arrive in our country we'll take tests to see what bacteria it is.

My husband and I stay July 8, 2022 through July 17, 2022. On the third day my husband became ill with diarrhea the next day he had fever and was in bed all day except for using the bathroom with constant diarrhea. The next day I became
ill with severe diarrhea and then the fever began for me. We lost the whole rest of our trip due to being sick. Once returning home I saw my doctor and tested positive for salmonella with a stool sample. While staying at this resort we heard other guest discussing their same diarrhea issues. This resort is not handling food properly. Nobody handling food is wearing gloves. Food safety should be a priority. I’ve been hung up on more times than I can count, put on hold more times than I can count. I’ve been trying to reach out to the US Embassy. I have had no luck reaching someone there. There is no one that seems to care about our issue. It is all very frustrating and disappointing to know that once they take your money and you leave there’s nothing that they will do for you. So at least we can all keep making reports and warning others and maybe somehow, something will change. Day 17 now with this sickness.
