Inspectors found several food handling, cleaning, and maintenance issues during the inspection. In the meat department, two packages of crab meat were thawing in a bowl of water instead of using an approved method, and an ice scoop was stored on styrofoam on top of the ice machine rather than in a clean, protected location. Additional findings included grease and food buildup on the outside of fryers in the deli, clutter in rear storage areas, and dirt or debris on floors in the rear storage, dock, meat, and deli areas. Floor drains in the meat and deli departments had buildup, and cracked floor tiles were found near the deli sink and prep table.
