I ordered a gluten free pizza with vegan cheese- chicken, artichokes, onions and had severe stomach cramping. Landed in ER after 8 hours of horrible cycles of stomach pain with intense nausea. | Symptoms: Nausea, Stomach Pain, Cramps

Have some idea what might be the true cause. Gluten-free pizza crust and bread type products almost always contain xanthan gum which causes some people severe stomach distress and diarrhea. Also some gluten-free stuff has inulin which is another ingredient that causes the same issue. It's possible the vegan cheese might use these ingredients too. Some people are sensitive to it. I had to give up all gluten-free products myself and go back to regular wheat.
