Chicago, 60629 Illinois, United States

Inspectors found several significant food safety violations during the inspection. The restaurant did not have a certified sanitation manager or a valid City of Chicago food service sanitation certificate on site while time- and temperature-sensitive foods such as chicken, beef, pork, and rice were being prepared and served. Inspectors also found about 8 pounds of beef held at 52°F, above the required 41°F or below; the beef was discarded. A sliding two-door cooler was holding at 60°F and was tagged by the health department. Citations were issued for these violations.

Inspectors also found that the restaurant did not have a current pest control logbook or required pest inspection reports on site, which was cited as a significant violation. Additional issues included food debris and residue inside the sliding two-door cooler and on cooler gaskets, as well as heavy dust and grease buildup on the hood ventilation filters.
