Report date: Aug 2, 202210. Adequate handwashing sinks properly supplied and accessible
- comments: observed facility missing employee handwashing signage when returning to work from restroom and at the handwashing sinks at the dishwashing area. Instructed the person in charge to obtain and maintain signage.
36. Thermometers provided & accurate
- comments: observed no thermometers inside refrigeration unit conspicuously posted to monitor the ambient temperature of equipment. Instructed to equip all refrigeration units with accurate and working thermometers and maintain.
38. Insects, rodents, & animals not present
- comments: observed approximately 50-60 live small flying insects at the site during inspection in the following areas: in dishwashing area 15, in food prep area 10, in rear storage area 15, behind soda dispensing station 15, and in office area 20. Recommend contacting pest control. Priority foundation violation 7-38-020(a), citation issued.
39. Contamination prevented during food preparation, storage & display
- comments: observed ice scoop inside of the ice machine at the rear dishwashing area. Instructed to properly store ice scoop in a scoop holding unit at all times.
49. Non-food/food contact surfaces clean
- comments: observed food items in the rear walk-in cooler stacked and separated using soiled, broken-down cardboard boxes. Instructed to provide more shelving units and make food item storage surfaces smooth and easily cleanable.
54. Garbage & refuse properly disposed; facilities maintained
- comments: observed slight grease build-up on the edge of the outdoor grease container. Instructed to clean and maintain said receptacle.
55. Physical facilities installed, maintained & clean
- comments: observed food debris on the floors under the shelving units in the rear walk-in freezer. Instructed to clean and maintain said floors.
