Sounds like salmonella. I got it from badly handled chicken when I was 19 and had the same symptoms. Sounds like you’re now on the mend and it was good thinking to get pedialyte.

Personally I would not eat any kaitenzushi outside of East Asia. Preferably Japan. I’ve eaten at the one in Frisco and it was revolting.

Ordered the catfish over rice with salad on 8/12. By 2am I had diarrhea, broke out in a cold sweat with chills. I was throwing up alongside the diarrhea. I had abdominal pain and could barely stand.
