Outbreak

Increase of Norovirus cases at Yelm Community Schools

3 years ago source yelmonline.com

Yelm, Washington, United States

Yelm Community Schools noticed an increase in student absences likely related to norovirus.

As a precaution, the district has thoroughly cleaned the impacted school according to COVID-19 health and safety guidelines. YCS Superintendent urges parents to keep their children at home if they display symptoms of the illness, which include a sudden onset of nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach cramping, and/or fever.

In case you are experiencing symptoms like diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance.
