Morning Summit
I bought box of Morning Summit cereal ($13) because it was packaged as a healthy breakfast cereal showing big bowl of cereal, almonds, cranberries, cherries, pumpkin seeds, etc. on front of box.
I came home from thisnplace and had a big bowl that night around 930 pm.... See More During the night I was unable to sleep because of painful burning in my stomach throughout the night. 🔥 It felt like my stomach was on fire and kept me awake all night, tossing and turning.
I thought it was a new toothpaste I had accidentally swallowed before bed. My stomach was still burning in the morning, and tapered off about noon. I felt bad all day, from no sleep and writhing through the night.
Next time I ate the cereal, I just had a little and didn’t notice as severe burning, but had other food on my stomach. I was convinced I had ulcers. Thought it was because of stress, didn’t think I was that stressed, never had ulcers before. But was certain that is what ulcers must feel like.
Today, I had a big bowl again, and ate on an empty stomach. I noticed when I was eating, my lips would be burning 🔥 when they were wet with the milk when I would eat a spoonful of the cereal. The same firey feeling. It was very noticeable, almost painful. Lips would not burn when not when not touching the milk. When I would eat a spoonful of cereal and lips touch milk, burning. I finished the bowl of cereal anyway. (Mind you, the cereal was not particularly tasty, it didn’t have much taste at all, I was just hungry and it was filling.)
About an hour and a half or so after I downed the cereal I noticed I started to get a funny feeling in my stomach again. 😳 Then my stomach started burning, 🔥 it makes you draw up, you also get a slight headache and feel somewhat weak. I was out shopping and it made me move slowly, like a person might do if they had bad menstrual cramps. My stomach started burning badly. That’s when I decided it definitely was the Morning Summit cereal and I definitely would be returning it to Costco.
But … not before checking the ingredients on the box. So I checked the ingredients on the box. Sure enough, this super mega healthy cereal says at the bottom of the ingredients list “contains bioengineered food ingredients,” below that is says “Ask.GeneralMills.Com.”
So I go to “Ask.GeneralMills.Com” and it explains how all foods in the US contain bioengineered foods, and if you eat anything that contains sugar or soy or corn or any other product made from seed it is most likely made from bioengineered seed and how use of bioengineered seeds have been approved globally and in the US and by the FDA and by the USDA for 20 years, blah blah blah .. in other words, it’s all perfectly acceptable and perfectly reasonable ..
EXCEPT, EVERYTIME I EAT YOUR BIOENGINEERED GMO PRODUCT I FEEL LIKE I AM GOING TO DIE, LIKE I AM BEING POISONED!
Don’t tell me every ingredient in your list that was produced from bioengineered seed is perfectly normal and good.
MY BODY TELLS ME OTHERWISE!!!!!
ALSO - I do NOT believe for a second all the hype out on the internet about how ‘great’ this ‘Morning Summit’ cereal is. Those have got to be fake paid marketing reviews.
The cereal has No taste, it is flat as cardboard. Of course It has no taste, it is not real food. It’s lab food. Bioengineered GMO food. Plus it burns your stomach.
So no, I don’t believe the fake reviews. Somebody’s trying to make a lot of money on a lab created seed product that doesn’t come from the earth and is impermeable to normal environmental threats, like pests, disease and bad weather conditions. That may mean big profits for big corporations. But unfortunately, it’s not healthy or tasty for us. Plus it’s way ridiculously overpriced for what you are getting; cardboard food look-a-like that burns your stomach, $13 a box. Um, no.
Buy at your own risk!
I hope this honest review helps someone else!
